Presbyopia is the condition of long sightedness that develops as you get older. It initially becomes noticeable in individuals over the age of 40. Over time the lens hardens and becomes less elastic leading to the to the gradual decrease of the ability to focus on close objects.

Treatment:

The condition maybe managed with bifocals, reading glasses or varifocals. In severe cases, lens implants may be needed.
