How do we see?

  1. Light travels into your eyes in a straight line after reflecting off objects.
  2. The reflected light then passes through the cornea, into the pupil and through the lens.
  3. The light is refracted by the cornea and the lens to focus on the retina.
  4. The light is converted into electrical impulses by the photo receptors on the retina.
  5. The optic nerve carries the electrical impulses to the brain.
  6. The electrical impulses are processed by the brain which creates an image.
